E.L. Konigsburg Has Passed On
Konigsburg won the Newbery Medal twice. In 1968, she won for her popular novel From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and she also received a Newbery Honor for Jennifer, Hecate, Macbeth, William McKinley, and Me, Elizabeth. In 1997, she won the Newbery again with The View from Saturday. Atheneum Books for Young Readers will release The E.L. Konigsburg Newbery Collection on October 22, 2013.
