The Books Children's Publishers Read with Their Kids
Angus Killick, v-p and associate publisher at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, and member of the CBC’s Board of Directors, enjoys reading Norton Juster’s classic fantasy, The Phantom Tollbooth, with his two sons:
When I was reading the book to Theo (and Ben) the first time, I happened to mention to Norton Juster that we were enjoying the book together, and he asked me if I was aware that there was a relatively new audio recording of the book. A few days later he sent it to me, and we finished the last few chapters listening to David Hyde Pierce reading the book to us—thus I joined the ranks of those being read to.(Publishers Weekly)
