Bringing Picture Books into Middle and High School Classrooms
In addition to pairing well with higher-level texts, picture books open up discussion on perspective and word choice, and create a feeling of community in the classroom. By tapping into students’ early reading experiences, teachers hope to foster a continued love of reading.
