Dr. Carla Hayden Nominated for Librarian of Congress
Dr. Hayden has championed literacy through her work at the Chicago Public Library and as the CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. She will be the first woman and the first African American to hold the prestigious position.
She’s devoted her career to modernizing libraries so that everyone can participate in today’s digital culture…And I know she’ll be a good steward for the important role that libraries play in our communities. (Whitehouse.gov)
