Drop Everything and Read 2016
Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.) is the national month-long celebration of reading. D.E.A.R. programs have been held nationwide on April 12th on author Beverly Cleary’s birthday, since she first wrote about the event in her novel, Ramona Quimby, Age 8. The event has since been extended through the entire month of April. This year’s DEAR celebration is extra special as it coincides with Cleary’s 100th birthday!
