The Slithery Shakedown

The Slithery Shakedown

by Tracey Hecht

The Nocturnal Brigade introduces their nighttime world to early readers who discover the meaning of courage and strength.  In The Slithery Shakedown, three unlikely friends—Tobin, a sweet pangolin, Bismark a loud-mouthed sugar glider and Dawn, a serious fox—stand up to a big bully snake. The snake is surprised by their courage and heroic strength. He slithers away, shedding his skin in the process. Now the animals wear the snakeskin as a spec-tac-u-lar cape, which symbolizes a reminder of their courage.
