The CBC honors Felicia Holston-Sloane, an award-winning Brooklyn Public Librarian, and also thanks Akeek Weston and Alex Rivera for their work bringing art to young people in the Bronx. BookPage has shared three picture books, illuminating the remarkable lives of brilliant Black artists, showing young readers a few sets of footsteps they might follow.
