Kate DiCamillo at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature and Newbery-winning author Kate DiCamillo will speak at 7 PM on Thursday, October 15, at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Lecture Hall, as part of the Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Kids and Teen series.
DiCamillo’s visit is the culmination of a community reading program in which students grades 3-6 created projects inspired by the ambassador’s writing and platform, “Stories Connect Us.” On Wednesday, the five best projects will be chosen, and winners will have the opportunity to meet DiCamillo.
