Children’s Book Week is the annual celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading. Since 1919, commemorative events have been held nationwide at schools, libraries, bookstores, homes — wherever young readers and books connect! In 2013, Official Events will be hosted in a record-breaking 50 cities, along with innumerable Local Events. Children’s Book Week is administered by Every Child a Reader and sponsored by the Children’s Book Council.
