Northshire Books in Manchester Center, Vermont Wins 2013 Children’s Book Week Display Contest!
Northshire Books in Manchester Center, Vermont has been declared the official winner of the inaugural Children’s Book Week bookstore display contest co-hosted by the CBC, Every Child a Reader, and the ABC Children’s Group at ABA. Dozens of bookstores spent weeks planning and crafting creative masterpieces celebrating children’s books and reading.
Northshire’s window was planned and designed by the children’s bookseller team and incorporates the major elements (Remy Charlip, Maurice Sendak, Brian Selznick’s CBW poster, Children’s and Teen Choice Awards finalists) into a “books can take you anywhere (or anytime)” theme. Among other prizes, Northshire will receive a visit from a 2013 Children’s-Choice-Book-Awards-winning author or illustrator.
