Scholastic to Unveil New Cover Design for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at BEA
The original American editions of the Harry Potter series features cover and chapter illustrations by artist Mary GrandPré. Graphic novelist Kazu Kibuishi was commissioned to re-design the book jackets for all the Harry Potter titles.
Kibuishi’s art piece for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone showcases the Boy Who Lived and Hogwarts’ Keeper of Keys Hagrid shopping for school supplies in Diagon Alley. The publishing company plans to release new editions of all seven installments in trade paperback format on August 27, 2013.
