Mariah Carey to Make Children's Book Debut With All I Want For Christmas is You Picture Book, To Be Published This Fall 2015
New York, NY — Doubleday Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, has acquired ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU by the all-time bestselling female musical artist Mariah Carey, it was announced today by Mallory Loehr, Vice President, Publishing Director of the Random House/Golden Books Young Readers Group (RH/GB). Frances Gilbert, Associate Publishing Director for the imprint acquired from Simon Green of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The book will be published this fall on November 10 and is illustrated by Colleen Madden.
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU features the complete lyrics of Mariah Carey’s bestselling and beloved holiday song, which has sold over 14 million copies, making it one of the bestselling songs—Christmas or otherwise—of all time. The picture book tells the story of a little girl whose greatest Christmas wish is for a new puppy. Full of festive December moments with family, friends, presents, and of course Santa Claus—and featuring lively yuletide illustrations—ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU is poised to become a part of Christmas traditions for many years to come, alongside the classic song.
