Earth Hour

CBC Celebrates explores stories that relate to specific holidays so that kid, and adult, readers can celebrate in the best way… with a good book!
Saturday, March 26th, is Earth Hour. On this day, we promote energy conservation and turn off all non-essential electric lights for one hour. From 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm in whatever time zone you are in, this event helps our environment by cutting light pollution and carbon dioxide reduction. So join us in turning off your lights at 8:30 pm, lighting up your candles and lanterns, and grabbing a book for Earth Hour!
