DOGObooks and the Children’s Book Council Partner to Boost Summer Reading

In partnership with leading children’s book publishers, DOGObooks has created a reading catalog of 52 popular book titles for grades 3-8. By reading and posting 3 reviews of 25 words or more, kids can select their choice of a free book from a prize catalog of over 70 book titles. The program also rewards the top ten schools with the most reviews with 100 new books for their school library!
The program is open to Kids in Grades 3-8, who can sign up at www.dogobooks.com/summer select books to read, post reviews and start earning prizes. Kids can keep track of their progress throughout the summer and also see which books are most popular for reading and for prizes.
DOGObooks is partnering with education and industry leaders including: the Children’s Book Council, Edmodo, Edublogs, Learning.com, Kaleidoscope, OCLC and Social Moms to make educators, librarians and children aware of the program.Publishers sponsoring Summer Reading this year are: Amazon Children’s Publishing, American Girl Publishing, Baker & Taylor Publishing, Bloomsbury, Candlewick Press, Disney-Hyperion Publishing, HarperCollins Children’s Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, Quirk Books, Random House Children’s Books, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster and Zonderkidz.
