Elissa Tomasetti Named Senior Vice President, Marketing for Scholastic Education
New York, NY – Scholastic (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children’s publishing, education and media company, today announced the appointment of Elissa Tomasetti as Senior Vice President, Marketing for Scholastic Education.
Based in New York and reporting to Greg Worrell, President of Scholastic Education, Elissa will be the key driver of strategic marketing for Scholastic Education’s customized, comprehensive literacy solutions, which include instructional reading & writing programs, professional development resources, learning supports and family & community engagement (FACE) initiatives, and support for independent reading in schools. Working closely with the marketing and sales teams, she will be focused on campaigns that drive business expansion in new and existing markets while aligning messaging to communicate the full scope of products and services available from Scholastic Education.
Elissa brings more than 25 years of marketing and communications experience to Scholastic, having most recently served as Vice President, B2C Communities at Pearson Education. Prior to joining Scholastic, Elissa also held prominent positions at the Financial Times & FT.com and SmartMoney.com.
