Happy Birthday, Avi!
After a brief stint at a science high school, Avi discovered a passion for writing and worked hard to overcome his learning disabilities. But it wasn’t until his son Shaun was born that Avi began to write children’s books. He’s since published over 70 books — including Crispin: The Cross of Lead — which are beloved by young readers.
