500+ New BISAC Codes Will Be Added in 2016
This marks the biggest update to BISAC codes in over a decade — the bulk of which fall under the Young Adult categories. The Subject Codes Committee hopes that by separating YA from Juvenile Fiction, libraries and retailers will have an easier time identifying titles for patrons.
